M & M Marbles

|
|
M & M marbles might be the best way to share a
bag of M & M's known to mankind. Go buy a bag, wipe off your
kitchen table and you're ready. Here's how to play:
- Divide up the bag of M & M's amongst the players--four
players is ideal--you won't get full or fat.
- Pencil in--I repeat pencil in a dot in the exact middle
of your table.
- Each player sets down one candy and boings it
toward the middle mark, trying to get as close as possible.
This will determine who goes hunting first. Definition: boing--a
shot made by pushing the M&M across the table by flicking
the forefinger.
- Once the order has been established, the game is much
like croquet or marbles. The hunter strikes his /her
M&M in an effort to hit an opponents M&M. Success in
this venture allows the hunter to consume the opponent's
candy and laugh obnoxiously. A miss, however, allows
the next hunter to step up and do the same. Obviously,
a narrow miss i
- The hunting process involves an expanded array of shots.
Boings are OK but not as effective as striking the M&M
with a good forehand or backhand. Any type of strike
is legal as long as it is a definite strike and not an
illegal push.
- If the hunter strikes her candy with too much force,
and it starts flying off the table, any close opponent
may catch the errant object as it flies toward the floor.
If anyone catches the errant M&M--they should consume
it and laugh.
- The winner of each round is the one with the only M&M
left on the table. That winner must lag first in round
two. Your group then continues until all M&M's are consumed
except those of the winner. That skilled hunter may do
as she pleases.
I don't know how many calories you'll burn playing this
game, but I do know that captured M&M's taste better than
the regular ones. And, if M&M's don't grab ya, Skittles
work just as well. Happy Hunting!
